Christmas Day starts with the chefs arriving from about 7am to prepare the food for cooking.
From 10.45am onwards we start setting up the tables, chairs, refreshment tables and entertainment ready for when the guests arrive anytime after 11.30.
The transport of guests is organised from 9pm and a separate table is set up with this and volunteer drivers pick up guests.
During the set up, we pack the goodie bags for guests to take home.
We need volunteers to help with all these important tasks, without this the event could not go ahead.
Once the guests arrive volunteers are needed to make them welcome and look after their needs ( tea & coffee etc).
Talking to guests is the most important part of the day.
At approximately 12.30pm dinner is served by the volunteers to the guests.
After dinner there is a raffle and teas/coffees are served.
Guests are then given goodie bags and taken home by the volunteer drivers.
Once the guests have left the team of volunteers clear away the tables, chairs etc. and whatever other clearing up is needed.
