Volunteers meeting.
We will hold the Volunteers Meeting on Wednesday December 2018 at 6pm at the Marina Centre cafe, where we will discuss in detail how Christmas Day unfolds,. It would be really helpful it you could attend. Refreshments will be available.
Please note entrance is through the Marina centre main entrance.
Vegetable Preparation.
Vegetable preparation will be on Christmas Eve at the Marina Centre cafe, from 9am for about 2 - 3 hours. We need help to peel the potatoes, sprouts, carrots, slice cakes, sort gift bags and various other tasks in preparation for Christmas Day.
Please bring your own knife or peeler and an apron.
On Christmas Day.
While you are welcome to stay all day, there are three time slots where we need help -
8.30 till 11am: setting up the hall ready for the day.
10.30 till 3pm: meeting and greeting guests, serving teas and coffee and then the Christmas dinner.
3.00 till 6pm: serving teas, mince pies etc and helping to clear the hall.
There is an evacuation plan in place which will be clearly displayed on the day.
